Position Summary:

The Project Director oversees the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CBHC) Health in Action project in its entirety to ensure it meets all grant requirements and the program maintains fidelity to the EBP models identified in the grant. Develop and implement a sustainability plan to ensure the success of the CCBHC model. Provides direction as needed in process implementation, policy development, and staff management.

Essential Functions:

• Provides clinical and administrative oversight of the daily operations and service implementation of the CCBHC
• Provides direct supervision in accordance with agency guidelines.
• Works closely with the CCBHC Project Evaluator to further inform process implementation.
• Maintains close working relationship with DCO’s and monitors affiliation agreements and obtains necessary data to report back to all stakeholders.
• Virtually attend the grantee meetings as required.
• Ensure that all staff is trained in EBPs utilized in CCBHC programming.
• Documents all clinical activity and correspondence in accordance with Center policy, state regulations, and Joint Commission standards.
• Engage in team meetings and individual supervision
• Performs other related duties as assigned as one of the essential functions and assumes responsibilities and tasks of persons who report to this position.

Essential Qualifications: 

• Possess Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
• Must have two (2) years’ experience in providing services to individuals and their families/caregivers who have mental health disorders and/or co-occurring substance use disorders, minimum one (1) year of experience working with culturally diverse/at-risk populations in a multi-cultural organization
• Has experience in working across cultures.
• Must possess knowledge in formal/informal community systems and resources.
• Must have knowledge of Wellness and Recovery Principles, Person Centered Care, Trauma Informed Care and Integrated Healthcare.
• Must possess a valid NJ driver’s license in good standing.
• Skill in the operation of office equipment, including but not limited to computers, printers, copiers, calculators, and other job specific equipment.
• Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with colleagues, coworkers, vendors, contractors, and the
public.
• Ability to accurately prepare and maintain files, records, reports, and logs.
• Skill in using computer applications including electronic health record, spreadsheets, databases, and word
processing software.
• Ability to identify and maintain confidential information.
• Ability to comprehend, express and exchange information in English over the phone, in person, in writing or
through other communication or electronic devices.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bilingual (Spanish/English), and experience working with culturally diverse populations.
• Knowledge of community resources and services and the ability to collaborate with other professionals.
• Advanced degree in social work, public health, or a related field preferred.
