Help Curb Hunger All Year

Somerset County is expanding its Curbing Hunger program to all year long, starting in June 2024, because Hunger Never Takes a Vacation. The food drive is managed by the county in association with the local nonprofit Curbing Hunger, Inc.

1. Send a monetary donation to a local food bank listed below.

2. Donate while at a recycling drop-off event:

3. Drop off donations in the orange bins with the Curbing Hunger logo.

Drop-off items include non-perishable food, health and beauty products, feminine hygiene products, and diapers.

(Locations are open during normal business hours.)

Donation bins are at multiple locations throughout Somerset County. Search for bins by town in the drop-downs below.


What to donate:

Non-perishable food

  • Canned goods – soups, tomato sauce, fruit, vegetables
  • Boxed shelf-stable milk
  • Cereals
  • Dried pasta
  • Peanut butter and jelly in plastic jars
  • Baby food, baby formula

Non-Food items

  • Laundry detergent, cleaning supplies
  • Paper towels, toilet paper, tissues
  • Body wash/soap, shampoo
  • Deodorant, toothpaste
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Diapers
What NOT to donate:

Please Do Not Donate These Items: 

  • Fresh, perishable food
  • Food in glass containers
  • Expired food
