Richard Hall Community Health and Wellness Center 

Monday - Thursday 3pm-8pm

Position Summary

Responsible for the interpretation and enforcement of County safety/security policies. Evaluate their effectiveness and develop necessary refinements to eliminate problem areas in consultation with the Facility Manager. Coordinate all phases of safety and security through presence and response, responsible for all County assets within and other related duties as required by the Facility Manager, Executive Director or Business and Operations Director. Delivery of all services is trauma-informed, wellness and recovery oriented, and person-centered in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Values Statement of the Center.

Essential Functions 

  • Maintain a secure, safe environment for Center clients, visitors, and staff.
  • Routinely observe security and safety deficiencies and arrange for corrective action.
  • Assists in coordination of safety and security education, i.e., in-service training, drills, inspections, etc.
  • Assists Facility Manager with control of all County assets within the Center, including assigned vehicles.
  • Collection and destruction of confidential data.
  • Routinely inspects the facility and assists in preparation of monthly reports on findings.
  • Assists in testing emergency equipment and radios.
  • Maintain various logs and reports for vehicles, key distribution and fire extinguishers and Center incident reports.
  • Preparation of written reports on safety and security incidents at the Center in the absence of the Facility Manager.
  • Transport priority correspondence to various agencies and other County departments as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 Essential Qualifications 

  • 2+ years of safety/security experience with preference in mental/medical health care setting. SORA certification.
  • Committee involvement and development.
  • Effective observation and recommendation skills.
  • CPR Certified by American Red Cross, American Heart Association and National Safety Council  

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
