Connections Matter

Connections Matter is a workshop designed to share the science behind what we intuitively know we all need: people who care about us. Join us for a 90-minute overview of trauma, brain development, resilience, and health, strategies for increasing and improving your own connections, and tools for strengthening both personal and community resilience.

Workshop Presenter

Tracey Heisler is the executive director of CASA of Somerset, Hunterdon, and Warren Counties in New Jersey, a local nonprofit that provides advocates in court for children in foster care. She holds BA and MA degrees from the University of West Florida in Counseling Psychology with minors in Juvenile Justice and Forensics. Prior to working with CASA SHaW, Tracey served as a Guardian ad Litem and a case supervisor for the Florida court and as a counselor for both adult and juvenile offenders. She has also served as a therapeutic foster parent and a sexual assault/domestic violence victims' counselor.
