The FireWatch Program provides screening and risk assessment with accompanying recommendations for appropriate follow up treatment, including fire safety education with trained fire personnel, for youth who engage in fire involved activities.

FireWatch Fire Specific Mental Health assessments are typically conducted for youth who have participated in multiple fire related incidents, have engaged in fire setting activities in an occupied structure, and have demonstrated a history or pattern of impulsive behavior.

Referrals typically come from police, probation, Family Case Management, DCF, schools, fire officials, parents or mental health professionals. The youth must be a resident of Somerset, Hunterdon, or Warren County under the age of 18.
