certlogoThe Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster-response skills.  Using training learned in the classroom and during exercises, CERT volunteers can assist others in their community following a disaster when professional responders are not immediately available to help.  Learn how to help yourself, your family, your neighbors, and your community when disaster strikes!

For more information about how to become a local CERT volunteer, please email Emergency Management or call (908) 725-5070.

Somerset County offers two free CERT training programs in the spring and fall.  For more information email Carolyn Solon at Solon@co.somerset.nj.us .
