Recovery Friendly Workplaces, an integral part of a Recovery Friendly Community

Presenters: Ken Musgrove, CPRS, Director of Recovery Support and David Martinak, CPRS, Peer Advocate of Community in Connection 

Rooted in the peer recovery movement, the Recovery Friendly Workplace initiative, piloted in New Jersey, in Somerset County, is an employer directed stigma reduction program that aims to educate the community that substance use disorders and mental health concerns are public health conditions.

  1. Peer Recovery movement - overview of peers and peer recovery centers.
  2. Recovery Friendly Workplace – a national movement integrating peer recovery in the workplace.
  3. Recovery Friendly Communities – embracing the faith, first responder and education communities in the recovery solution.
  4. Recovery Allies & Advocacy – how you can contribute, individually, organizationally and as a community.
