The Somerset County Agriculture Development Board presents From Soil to Spoon! This activity book is filled with fun activities, coloring pages, and some interesting fact about the history of agriculture in Somerset County. Books can be downloaded here or are available in Somerset County libraries.
This year we want to share the exciting journey that our farmers embark on when they begin planting in their fields. From their soil to your spoon – the experience is filled with hard work and dedication to bring our community the freshest and tastiest produce Somerset County farmers have to offer! We hope that each time you bite into an apple, munch on a carrot, or enjoy some summertime sweet corn that you are able to do so with your friends and family – there is nothing better than sharing food with those you care about.

Staff to the Somerset County Agriculture Development Board worked to develop multiple curriculums that could be done at home during the height of the stay at home orders. The hope was to give children the ability to still play outdoors in their own backyards – learning about the wild and wonderful ecosystem around them.
